Kate Nash

Second time I find myself alone watching a band in 3 days... As a Rough Trade Album Club member I get into their gigs for free so came along to RT Brick Lane on my own. As it was anyone could wander in so surprised not a lot busier. It's an album promotion free gig but that doesn't stop Kate giving it her all and playing for the best part of an hour. I saw her a few months ago and same band mates and songs as I wrote about then so wont say much. Just that she skips between sweet singer songwriter musings on life with just her dirty bass for accompaniment to the heaviest rock sounds shouty lyrics screaming guitar solos this side of Donington. Utterly brilliant. And this time I could see the drummer who looks the part.
