Having started work and cycling from south west London to way out east I seem to have no time to fit gigs into my busy schedule. Ah well a few coming up. My fast was broken by a soiree invitation from Anna and Rob in their lovely apartment overlooking Old Man Thames between Wandsworth and Putney bridges. Entertainment provided by Aksel Kolstad billed as a Scandanavian comedic classical pianist with traditional Norwegian sausages to follow. Not having found much classical music that I liked and not having met many funny Scandanavians I had my reservations and thought I'd better eat beforehand. However, Aksel was very entertaining taking turns in telling anecdotal jokes and brilliantly tinkling the ivories. And there was a bowl of nuts and licorice. Lots of interesting folk were gathered including Aksel's parents - dad Russian born educated at Turkish Jesuit school speaks 12 languages fluently and links to Q. Better say no more. Towards the end of the evening our presence was Grace-d by Ms Jones who lapped up the attention then played us demos from new tunes she's working on. The following is for you Matt...

And for those with less sophisticated tastes here's something which I'm sure Aksel would appreciate...
I think I need to get along to some rock and roll...
