Back from Glastonbury

Started off in the glorious sunshine from south west by south west london town... negotiated the A3 and skipped past Stonehenge A303 jam by Shrewton via Larkhill Camp - seems to be running down more and more. Passed by my bruvs lane but no point visiting as all would be at school or work. Zig zagged to Pilton where we landed in sun to cocktails and a beautiful spongy yet firm lawn for our leopard skin tent. Usual (for camping in this day and age) discussion of tents and onto Kath Kidson teepee (not to be confused with She Pees - see later) before putting up the tent with supervision from Julia the Journo. Much malingering putting up the airbed (courtesy of the house) and then filling up the small tent with it.

Once setup took to some serious relaxing and then wandered down to the site. Leisurely walk (aren't they mostly on the way there) through the orchard, over the white gate, thru the wooded track and onto the tarmac. Up and down, around and into the site. Seems pretty full already - most camping fields full and ... well, don't need to tell you what you either already know or don't need to know...

Bit of rain and mooched around bumping into bands in small places and then up to the new ? Park area. Seemed chilled out up there - Emily's alternative to the Green fields? Chat to the sand sculptress - illegally threw some money into the sand bowl. Often seen on South Bank London building sandy living rooms and dragons and often both to reflect the transience of our consumerism.... or maybe just to earn a few dollars. Worked our way further up the Park and then back down along Lost Vagueness not so chirpy or edgy as remember? Up the Green fields no dawdling sitting amongst the post consumerist recycleable as art henge. Just down from the mini henge reminiscient of Spinal's. Took time to relax and contemplate the huge site and groups hanging out and blue flashing frisbee. And off agin wandering into the madness below - catching bits and bobs as before before wandering homeward through Pedestrian Gate B with it's detour towards Vehicle Gate 1A thru a bit of mud (I remember the mud from the 80s but PGB an VG1?) Up and over and up and along and slide onto the kitchen chairs for tea and toast then all back and chat laugh get to know eachother better (for me anyway). Tent cold but insist on the cosiness zzzz
